And the FinTechGermany Award goes to…

… no, no, we are not ready yet to announce the winners of this year’s Fintech Germany Award. That information will be kept secret until the festive award ceremony on September 17th. But after we have made public the shortlist of 43 start-ups a few weeks ago, which emerged from the 220 or so applications during the ongoing jury process, we have made yet another important step further. Recently, the jury meeting with 18 participants was held via video conference. And a lively and enlightening discussion about the start-ups on the shortlist developed for all jurors.

On the basis of the, as mentioned before, sophisticated and transparent evaluation system, after four hours and despite some controversial views and evaluations, there was remarkable agreement on the winners in the eight categories “Seed Stage”, “Early Stage”, “Later Stage”, “Growth Stage”, “Foreign Entrant into the German Market” as well as “AI”, “Blockchain” and “Insurtech”. Among them there are a few surprises, but more shall not be revealed at this point.
