On 16 May, Germany's leading investor-side start-up award, the FinTechGermany Award, will be presented for the fifth time in the financial centre of Frankfurt. Outstanding FinTech start-ups with promising business models will be awarded the Golden Garage in various categories. The jury pays particular attention to the companies' financial viability, scalability and ability to exit. The award for excellence in the FinTech sector is supported by Blackprint Proptech Booster, Ernest & Young, Heleba Digital, Metzler, ODDO BHF and Oliver Wymann. You can read here why they are campaigning for the award:

"The FinTechGermany Award is an important impulse to give future founders a good start and to support them. The future is being written here - a new financial industry is emerging. This holds advantages not only for customers, but also for established companies."

Jörg-Matthias Butzlaff, Head of Corporate Communications at Metzler.

"The FTGA, with its broad approach across a wide variety of FinTech business models, its strong sponsoring partners and its excellently staffed jury, provides an excellent basis for fulfilling the purpose of promoting the FinTech start-up ecosystem and communicating its sustained positive development beyond Germany's borders."

Christopher Schmitz, Partner Financial Services at Ernest & Young

"Especially when B2B FinTechs do not just "scratch the surface" but focus on core processes of banks, the resistance is still clearly noticeable. Overcoming this requires staying power and partners who believe in you.Platforms like the FinTechGermany Award help to highlight special FinTechs, bring them together with companies and thus overcome the first hurdles of a cooperation."

Lucie Haß, Managing Director at Helaba Digital

"We want to promote innovation and digitalisation in the financial industry and support Frankfurt in positioning itself - as part of a "fourth pillar" of the German banking system - as a

leading FinTech hub."

Matthias Hübner, Partner at Oliver Wyman

"With our involvement in the FinTechGermany Award, we would like to actively contribute to strengthening Frankfurt as a FinTech location and support it with our know-how."

Sven Gräbedünkel, Managing Director at ODDO BHF

"FinTech and PropTech have clear overlaps and I think it is important to work together, especially across obvious industry boundaries. In this way, we are jointly strengthening the Frankfurt am Main location, which should continue to gain in importance, especially in the European PropTech ecosystem."

Alexander Ubach-Utermöhl, Managing Partner at blackprintpartners
