Jury selects 43 startups for the shortlist

A few days ago, this year’s Fintech Germany Award should have taken place in the TechQuartier in Frankfurt. However, as previously announced, given the changes the corona pandemic requires, we decided to postpone this event until September 17th.

And although it is currently made difficult to follow a normal agenda, things are of course not at rest at FTGA! Based on the evaluations of the 19-members strong jury and with the help of a sophisticated point system, a shortlist of 43 startups resulted from more than 220 applications.

However, this is only the first step, as from this list the winners in the eight categories “Seed Stage”, “Early Stage”, “Later Stage”, “Growth Stage” and “Foreign Entrant into the German Market”, as well as special awards for the sectors „AI“, „Blockchain“ and „Insurtech“ will be selected in a jury session.

That means that we all have to be patient a little longer unfortunately. We’ll keep you posted.

On September 17th we will know the winners!

Until then, please follow us on Twitter or Linkedin.

Until then, we wish you a strong immune system & stay healthy!

Michael Mellinghoff & Franz Công Bùi, co-chairmen of the jury
